Position



Responsibilities
  • Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction of Annuity New Business, collaborating with other divisions and departments to carry out the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Provides leadership to ensure all activities are consistent with our goals, guidelines, and culture by monitoring trends and evolving our strategy to keep up with changing customer expectations.
  • Ensures that departmental decisions, project plans, and budgets, such as those for staffing, development, and team execution, align across the larger team.
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems with the goal of improving the use of resources and materials.
  • Actively manages team performance to standards and individual goals that align value creation with the team’s objectives.
  • Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in Life insurance and Annuity operations and serves on industry committees to share knowledge and increase brand.
  • Actively participates on collaborative panels, committees, and teams with Marketing, Distribution, Operations, Finance, and other key areas to drive overall business results.
  • Develops and maintains productivity and quality standards through audit and other review mechanisms to ensure policy, procedures, and objectives are carried out.
  • Develops teams and leaders, providing coaching to aid growth, succession, and career planning.
  • Proactively partners with distribution leadership and external agencies to improve presence, solve problems, and gather feedback to improve customer experience, driving critical value creation and competitive differentiation in the marketplace.

 

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of operational leadership experience in Annuity New Business Operations (including Suitability)
  • 5+ years of leadership experience leading leaders of leaders and multiple sites
  • Deep operational knowledge of the annuity value chain and contract lifecycle (business practitioner)
  • Experience working closely with internal and external sales and distribution partners
  • Comfortable presenting on-stage to large audiences and networking at social events
  • Experience in managing budgets and resources effectively
  • Commitment to quality and continuous improvement with experience leveraging data to create and improve KPIs, SLAs, and performance dashboards
  • Bachelorʼs degree, with a strong academic record
  • Willing to work onsite in Addison, TX, or Montpelier, VT
  • Ability to travel as needed
