Bond Practice Lead

As the Bond Practice Lead, you’ll own client relationships, delivering consistent, accurate, and timely support that champions their success. Your keen business acumen will identify and cultivate new revenue streams within existing accounts, solidifying your value to producer-led risk management and transportation expansion efforts. Furthermore, you’ll lead the client bond request process and shape initial client perceptions.

Position



Responsibilities
  • Perform client consultations, which include traveling to various locations throughout the United States
  • Initiate contact with prospective clients, including outbound calls, emails, and written correspondence to recommend and see coverages as appropriate
  • Be aware of and meet annual sales goals
  • Complete exposure risk analysis and stewardship reporting while coordinating completion and facilitating a presentation to clients within 180 days of renewal
  • Round out existing accounts by proactively selling additional coverages or policies relating to the annual round-out goals
  • Support their teammates and build new business opportunities for both new and existing clients within TrueNorth
  • Foster carrier relationships
  • Attend mandatory and any optional continuous education opportunities
  • Travel to and collaborate with regional offices as needed to ensure alignment in processes, initiatives, and practices up to 3 nights a week, including working nights and weekends
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications
  • Four-year degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in the surety bond field required
  • Commercial Surety license or Commercial Insurance license required or able to be obtained in the first 30 days
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic PowerPoint functions
  • Prior customer service experience required
  • Understand the different processes/forms associated with the varying coverages and insurers
  • Understand and maintain fiduciary responsibility for company, client, and producer
  • Experience working with EPIC Agency Management Software preferred
  • Series 6 and 66, life/health including disability and long-term care (Financial Strategies only)
  • CPCU or CIC designation preferred
